HIGHRISE ON THE SQUARE

Nearby square has traditional
buildings -- and a 10-story
highrise that fits well

Those who wonder if an 8-12 story building in downtown Marietta would fit right need to travel just a few miles down US41 to see another square that has one.

Riverside, located on US41 just south of the Chattahoochee River, is the area's first neo-traditional community. Post Properties has coupled retail space, office space, and luxury apartments to create a pedestrian-friendly community nestled on the banks of the Chattahoochee River.

A lively Town Square acts as the center of activity at Riverside, putting people within walking distance of shopping, dining, banking and other conveniences that surround it.

On one side of Riverside square is a 10-story office building that blends so well with its surroundings that people there don't realize it's that tall. In fact, the square's layout and architectural design has won numerous awards nationwide and has been the subject of countless articles and television programs. HGTV, for example, recently spotlighted Riverside on one of its programs.

The community was designed by architect Andres Duanny, who is most famous for creating the look for Seaside, Florida.
