Seattle Restaurants:
Coldwater Bar and Grill

The Westin's restaurant (formerly Roy's) has mastered a straightforward approach to seafood, with an emphasis on local goods, from the side dishes to the wines. Although the venue may lack the waterfront view, it's peaceful and quiet. Business travelers will find it an exceptional place to entertain, and the waitstaff is more than eager to please.

Seattle Restaurants:
Dahlia Lounge

The Dahlia has rightfully earned it's iconic status on the Northwest dining scene. The space blushes a deep crimson; Chinese lanterns hang from brawny exposed beams. Somehow, owner Tom Douglas keeps brilliantly reinventing himself.

Seattle Restaurants:
McCormick & Schmick's

Upscale and sophisticated, this chain features art deco-inspired trappings such as dark wood, shiny brass and beveled glass. Servers clad in black and white weave through cocktailing couples and businessmen at the bar. The classic American, seasonally inspired seafood menu changes daily; specialties include starters of Dungeness crab cakes and oysters on the half shell, plus entrees like cedar plank-roasted salmon, sauteed lobster with scallops and rock shrimp, and seared yellowfin tuna with wasabi, soy and ginger.

The fresh-faced servers are friendly, if unpolished.

Seattle Restaurants:
Tango

Dim lights and pale linens provide a properly unobtrusive setting for two works of art: the plates of food and the diners. Those lingering over meals put on their most stylish outfit for a night on the town. Servers are fairly artistic themselves, offering sophistication rather than enthusiasm.
