Charolette Steed Combines Home Sales With Successful Charity Work At Her Firm

Atlanta in terms of sales.
It isn't just the firm's success in residential and commercial real estate transactions that she's proud of because Charolette's firm is a leader in charity work, too.
For example, RE/MAX Marietta West was recently among the top in the nation for contributions to the Children's Miracle Network. Charolette was recently honored and recognized for her work by the RE/MAX organization.
Charlotte Steed is a sixth-generation Atlantan who graduated with a BA from Olgethorpe University and has performed graduate work at Emory. She is listed in Who's Who of American Colleges & Universities.
Before specializing in real estate, she taught chemistry and worked as an analytical chemist for 12 years. In 1978, Charolette made a career change and joined Northside Realty where she quickly excelled to a top sales position, achieving $5.6 million in gross sales with new homes.
Eleven years ago, she opened RE/MAX Marietta West and grew from 0 to 65 agents by 1996, six of whom have now reached Hall of Fame status. In 1996, the firm had a sales volume of $202 million.
Besides being honored for her charity work, Charolette has been the recipient of numerous business-related awards. In 1990, she was honored as "Broker/Owner of the Year" in 1990 and 1992. She was nominated for "Business Woman of the Year" for Cobb County in 1993. Then in 1995, Charolette became a member of the RE/MAX Hall of Fame.
